Are you looking for an opportunity to work in horticulture? Perfect Produce is hiring entry-level Horticultural Harvesters/Packers to join our dedicated team. Prior experience is not required, as comprehensive on-site training will be provided. This role is ideal for individuals who are motivated, reliable, and enjoy working outdoors.

Job Responsibilities

As a Horticultural Harvester/Packer, you will be involved in:

• Planting crops.
• Harvesting fresh produce from the field.
• Washing, grading, and packing products.
• Ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.
• Adhering to health and safety protocols.

Work Schedule

This is a fixed-term, seasonal role with the following hours:

• Monday to Friday: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 6:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Due to the nature of seasonal work, additional hours may be required. Flexibility to work longer hours when needed is essential.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Be reliable and punctual.
• Have access to reliable transportation.
• Be physically capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting up to 15 kg.
• Be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Be health and safety conscious, with a focus on maintaining workplace safety standards.
• Have flexibility to accommodate extra working hours as needed.

Additionally, successful applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test and may be subject to random drug testing during employment.

Eligibility

Applicants should have:

• NZ residency or a valid New Zealand work visa.
