Grant of Eid-ul-Fitr Allowance for Federal Government Employees (BPS 01-22)
This is to inform all Ministries/Divisions/Attached Departments/Subordinate Offices that the Federal Government has approved a one-time Grant of Eid-ul-Fitr Allowance.
Details of the Allowance
- Amount: 15% of basic pay
- Eligibility: All civil employees in BPS (Basic Pay Scale) 01-22 of the Federal Government, including employees of the Federal Secretariat, divisions, and attached departments.
Exclusions
- Employees of organizations and autonomous bodies/corporations
- Employees posted/deputed abroad
- Allowance is subject to Income Tax
- Allowance is admissible during suspension periods
Financial Responsibility
All Ministries/Divisions/Attached Departments/Subordinate Offices will meet the expenditure for this allowance from their existing budgetary allocations. No additional funds will be provided during the financial year 2023-2024.
Compliance
All Principal Accounting Officers and Heads of Departments are responsible for ensuring strict adherence to this order.
