- Take full responsibility for the household in parents’ absence
- Light housekeeping and cleaning
- Shop for groceries and household essentials
- Travel with the family and assist with childcare and housekeeping on trips
- Laundry: wash, iron, and press clothing and linens
- Care for pets
- Follow parental methods for disciplining children
- Keep records of children’s daily activities and health
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment at home
- Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals
- Supervise and attend to children
- Transport children to and from school or appointments
- Support children’s emotional well-being
