About the Role: As part of our Proactive Services team, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring trolleys are readily available and our stores remain pristine. Your responsibilities will include completing daily cleaning tasks, collecting trolleys, and supporting the store with waste processing routines. Comprehensive training will be provided to help you safely operate various equipment and tools.

Key Responsibilities for Cleaning and Trolley Collection

  • Complete assigned cleaning tasks, such as sweeping floors, cleaning walls, bathrooms, trolley bays, and team rooms.
  • Collect trolleys from the car park and surrounding areas.
  • Work across departments to meet specific cleaning needs.
  • Assist customers in-store by answering questions or providing directions.
  • Support the store with waste processing routines and ensure bins are emptied regularly.

Skills and Attributes Required for Cleaning and Trolley Collection

  • Physical Fitness: Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting loads between 5-10kgs and standing for long periods.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work across Monday to Sunday, with shifts starting as early as 6 AM or as late as 5 PM.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for cleanliness and small details.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to work in various environments, including shop floors, fridges, freezers, and car parks.
  • Positive Attitude: A “can-do” mindset and a passion for helping people.
