COMSATS University Islamabad
COMSATS University Islamabad is a public university in Islamabad, Pakistan. The university was established in 1998 as a project of the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS). COMSATS is an inter-governmental organization with 27 member states. The university was given a charter by the Federal Government of Pakistan in August 2000. In April 2018, CIIT was upgraded to a Federally Chartered University under the COMSATS University Islamabad Act 2018.
