Job Description
Kagome is seeking experienced Farm Hands to join our field operations team in the Barham/Koondrook area (Thule Zone). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing agribusiness environment where you’ll contribute to a wide range of farming activities, including irrigation and spray operations. The role involves working with rotational crops such as tomatoes, carrots, garlic, and other key agricultural products.

Key Responsibilities:

Tractor Work: Operate tractors and other machinery for various field operations.
Spraying: Apply chemicals and pesticides to crops, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
Land Preparation: Prepare land for planting and crop rotation processes.
Irrigation Management: Monitor soil moisture levels and manage irrigation systems (pivot or drip).
Routine Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance on farming equipment, machinery, and irrigation infrastructure.

Requirements:

A minimum of 1 year’s experience working on broad-acre or row cropping farms.
Open Class Driver’s License (essential).
Ability to work flexible hours, including extended shifts and weekends as required.
High-Risk Work License for Forklift (LF) and/or Crane (CN) (desirable).
AgChem Accreditation and experience in chemical spraying.
Knowledge of irrigation systems (pivot or drip) is highly regarded.
Basic computer skills, with the ability to use iPad software and Microsoft Office applications.
Physically fit and able to perform manual labor tasks.
