Key Responsibilities
As a Farm Worker (Vegetables), your duties will include:
- Planting and Cultivating Crops: Plant, irrigate, and care for various vegetable crops, ensuring optimal growth.
- Harvesting Crops: Assist in the harvesting process to ensure timely and efficient collection of vegetables.
- Animal Care: Feed and tend to animals, ensuring their health and well-being on the farm.
- Farm Facility Maintenance: Clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for both animals and workers.
- General Farm Duties: Assist with any additional tasks as needed, such as maintaining equipment and assisting with other crop or livestock-related tasks.
Work Environment and Conditions
- Location: This is an on-site position in a rural area of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL, with staff accommodation provided. The position requires applicants to relocate if they are not local.
- Environment: Expect a physically demanding work environment with varying weather conditions, including hot and cold environments.
