Key Responsibilities
As a Housekeeper, your duties will include:
- Floor and Surface Cleaning: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors. Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
- Bed and Linen Care: Make beds, change sheets, and distribute clean towels and toiletries.
- Laundry and Mending: Launder clothing, household linens, and mend clothing and linens as needed.
- Kitchen and Bathroom Cleaning: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
- General Housekeeping: Pick up debris, empty trash containers, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, and perform light cleaning duties as required.
- Additional Tasks: Clean changing rooms and showers, stock the linen closet, and manage household supplies.
Work Environment and Conditions
- Location: This is an on-site position based in St. Catharines, ON. Work will be performed within the employer’s home, so applicants should be comfortable working in a residential environment.
- Physical Demands: The role involves various physical activities, including bending, crouching, and kneeling. There will also be a combination of sitting, standing, and walking while performing housekeeping tasks.
