Verified Lab Services is looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Kiwigreen Pest Monitoring team. If you have a passion for working outdoors and an interest in horticulture and biosecurity, this is the perfect opportunity to be a part of New Zealand’s horticulture industry and help ensure the high-quality standard of our kiwifruit crops!
Key Responsibilities
As a Seasonal Field Technician, you’ll play a vital role in monitoring kiwifruit orchards for pests and potential biosecurity threats. Your tasks will include:
- Systematically inspecting fruit clusters and leaves for pests and host weeds.
- Traveling daily across regions such as Bay of Plenty, Northland, and Coromandel with an experienced team.
- Conducting inspections in the field and assisting with pest identification in the laboratory.
- Contributing to New Zealand’s kiwifruit biosecurity efforts to maintain international market standards.
No Experience? No Problem!
Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for anyone eager to learn while working alongside a knowledgeable team in the field.

- Casual contract starting early January and running through mid-February, with possible further work through the kiwifruit maturity testing season until June.
- Flexible and outdoor-based role.
