Virginia Greer Painting is hiring a skilled Residential Painter with responsibilities that include supervising crew members on construction projects. Based in Halifax, NS, this is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a reliable, motivated tradesperson.

Key Qualifications

• Languages Required: English

• Education: No formal educational requirements (No diploma or certificate needed)

• Experience: 5+ years in professional painting roles

• Work Authorization: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit holder)

Core Responsibilities

As a painter with foreman duties, your daily tasks will include:

• Prepping and sanding surfaces for painting

• Repairing wall damage such as cracks and holes

• Applying paint, wallpaper, and various finishes to interior and exterior areas

• Overseeing and guiding painting crew members

• Ensuring quality standards and safety compliance on all job sites

Technical Skills & Equipment Experience

• Application Methods:

  • Brush painting

  • Roller painting

  • Airless and conventional spray painting

• Surface Prep:

  • Drywall patching and taping

  • Wall sanding and priming

• Specialization Areas:

  • Paint spraying techniques

  • Staining and wood finishing

Work Conditions & Physical Demands

• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination

• Physically intensive tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

• Must supply personal work uniform
