This position is within our residential service, supporting individuals in the mental health sector as they transition from inpatient care to living independently in the community.
Shift Details:
- Thursday to Saturday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Based in Wellington
Your primary focus will be helping individuals in the evening to advance their recovery journey, improve their wellbeing, and lead fulfilling lives. This might involve tasks like assisting with meal preparation and maintaining a tidy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide culturally safe and individual-centered support to enhance recovery.
- Complete administrative tasks, maintain accurate records, and deliver effective shift handovers.
- Support the day shift by handling tasks such as filing, restocking first aid and emergency kits, and preparing paperwork while clients are asleep.

Requirements:
- Qualification: Hold a Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or an equivalent recognized qualification. Check equivalencies here
- Driver’s License: Possess a full and current license.
- First Aid: Hold a current comprehensive first aid certificate (units 6400, 6401, and 6402) or be willing to obtain one within three months of employment.
- Cultural Competency: Demonstrate knowledge of, and commitment to, the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
